Growing up, I watched my mom make incredible cakes; occasionally I would help her and I slowly learned the basics. When I was in college my mom had agreed to do a wedding cake for a family member, at the last minute she couldn't do the cake and asked me if I could. I hesitantly agreed, and did my first wedding cake. The process was not fun, I was stressed, cake crumbled, I cried a few times and seriously considered ordering a wedding cake from a bakery and paying for it myself, just to get out of this mess, but with some guidance from my mom, I finished the cake! I was so relieved that it was done, and that it actually stayed standing! The Bride and Groom loved the finished product, and it tasted delicious! After the first cake, I slowly started agreeing to do cakes for friends and family, then friends of friends and so on. Now, 9 years later I love baking and creating unique cakes. Over the years I have continuously added new recipes, and I am always trying new desserts, so I can provide the perfect cake or dessert for you.
